GRENADA, Miss. (WTVA) -- A reward is being offered for information on who may have shot two dogs in Charleston last week.
In Defense of Animals offered at $500 reward Monday for the incident on South Franklin Street in the Tallahatchie County town.
IDA officials say the family had let the lab/collie mix and pomeranian mix animals outside because they were house trained.
While they were outside, one of the dogs was shot in the front right leg and shrapnel from the bullet hit the other dog.
The lab/collie mix had his leg amputated as a result of the injuries.
IDA's Hope Animal Sanctuary is paying the veterinary bill for both dogs.
Anyone with information about this brutal attack to call the organization at 662-809-4483 or 415-448-0048, ext. 228.
