Protein supplement recalled over undeclared soy, milk

PENNSAUKIN, NJ (WTVA) -- R-Kane Products is recalling all outstanding supplies of its Z PRO HIGH PROTEIN SUPPLEMENT because it contains soy and milk.

The allergens which are not declared on the labels of individual packets of the product.

The product is distributed in boxes that contain 24 packets. Company officials say the outer boxes listed soy and milk in the ingredients.

The supplement was distributed nationwide from January of 2006 to January of 2013 to bariatric centers and bariatric doctors nationwide to give to patients who underwent bariatric surgery.

No illnesses have been reported to date.
