STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) — Power is back in a Mississippi State University residence hall that went dark after a couple of underground electrical boxes were flooded.

Sid Salter, the director of university relations, said electricity was restored to the women's side of Griffis Hall by midday Thursday.

He added the men's side got power back later that same day.

Humphrey Coliseum and portions of Zacharias Village lost power prior to the start of the men's basketball game against Alabama on Wednesday.

Electricity was restored to the coliseum prior to tipoff.
