Calhoun City, Miss. (WTVA) -- A group called "Team Freak Show" produces a spectacular haunted house event in the tiny community of Sabougla.
This year, the group is donating proceeds to help a strong little girl from Houston named Vada Reynolds.
The 17-month-old girl has hydrocephalus, a build-up of fluid inside the skull that leads to brain swelling. Vada also has a hole in her heart and has been through several surgeries.
Vada's family says her health struggles have turned into victories, Vada's Victories.
Team Freak Show is getting ready for its Third Annual Sabougla Haunted House.
"There's so much to see. There's approximately 40 people who are going to be actors in this event," said Team Freak Show member Stephen Faddock.
Team Freak Show claims there's so much to see that you may want to go through more than once.
"There's an insane assylum, a no-way out room. You'll get to meet some of your favorite scary movie characters. A lot of scenes from different movies will be re-enacted and some things you never thought of," Faddock explained.
Money raised will go to Vada Reynolds.
"Her dad hasn't been financially able to take off work to go to a single sugery this child has had. And, she's had seven or eight different surgieries," said Faddock.
"It's just a wonderful experience to know that you actually helped a family that really needed something," said Debbie Moore, haunted house director.
This isn't some quick Halloween haunted house. Instead, it's a full production with blood, skeletons, snakes, flying witches zipping through the sky, and a haunted cemetery.
"We had people come out and say it's one of the best they ever seen. They've been to Memphis and said this is one of the best they have ever come through," Moore said.
"Just come see us! We're going to scare you to death. If you were scared last year, we're really going to scare you this yeark," Moore continued.
The haunted house benefit for Vada is October 19 and 26, and again November 1 and 2. It's located at 39 County Road 347 in Calhoun City.
Admission is $5 and for more information call (662) 414-6349.
During last year's haunted house, Team Freak Show raised $7,000 for another community member in need.
