TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The accidental discharge of a firearm at a gun and knife show sent two people to the hospital for treatment.

Tupelo police says the incident happened at the Tupelo Gun and Knife Show at the Tupelo Furniture Market Building 5 Saturday morning.

Authorities say the bullet traveled through the wall after a weapon discharged.

A four-year-old boy and a man were hit by fragments of the bullet.

They were treated for what police called non-life threatening injuries at the North Mississippi Medical Center.
