GUNTOWN, Miss. (WTVA) - Law enforcement officers are searching for two men wanted for False Pretense after they allegedly were involved in a scam at a gas station in Guntown.
Police say two men entered the Texaco Station on Highway 45 in Guntown around 6 p.m. on October 27.
While one man reportedly tried to get change for some $100 bills from one cashier, the second man distracted the other cashier in the store.
When the cashier told the first man, he had been given too much money, the suspect left the store with a large amount of money.
Authorities describe the situation as a scam, and that it may have happened in other places involving the same people.
One man was reportedly wearing blue jeans, a black tee shirt, and a light colored jacket with blue trim around the collar and sleeves.
He is described as about six feet tall and weighing about 230 pounds.
The second man is described as being five feet, eleven inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds.
He was wearing a black shirt, khaki pants and a New Orleans Saints cap.
