Plant announces the need for more workers

GRENADA, Miss. (WTVA) — A Grenada company is expanding its operations to handle what is calls "the rapid growth" of its solar panel-related stamping business.

On Thursday, officials with Grenada Stamping and Assembly announced it would hire 50 additional workers as part of the $500,000 expansion.

The company supplies parts to the appliance, automotive, HVAC/R, and off-highway markets, and its customers include Ford Motor Company and Toyota Boshoku in Indiana.

Grenada Stamping and Assembly has a broad menu of capabilities, including the ability to blank, form, weld, and assemble a variety of materials of various strengths and thicknesses.

The latest announcement will bring the total number of employees at the facility to 231.
