OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- WTVA's CJ LeMaster has learned the preliminary hearing for Paul Kevin Curtis has been postponed.
WTVA's CJ LeMaster filed the following report:
The hearing for Paul Kevin Curtis was expected to begin at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Curtis was brought into the courtroom handcuffed by officers.
Curtis' defense arrived about 9:10 a.m. Shortly after, the defense asked for an interview room so they could speak with their client.
Shortly after 10:00 a.m., co-council for the defense came inside the courtroom to get Curtis' brother and step-father.
Defense attorney Christi McCoy entered the courtroom about 10:30 a.m. and told reporters the hearing was being continued by the court for a later time.
McCoy says the defense will hold a news conference at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Curtis never entered the courtroom, nor did prosecutors.
