TIPPAH COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Booneville man has died after a one-vehicle accident in Tippah County Saturday morning.

Trooper Ray Hall with the Mississippi Highway Patrol says Samuel B. Edge, 20, was traveling west on Highway 4 when he apparently ran off the right side of the road.

Edge's vehicle then hit a tree and struck a 18-wheeler parked at a nearby residence.

Hall said Edge received fatal injuries from the crash and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The accident remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.

Hall said the accident was not weather related.
