On-going heroin investigation leads to arrests

SALTILLO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The ongoing investigation into the sale of marijuana in northern Lee County has lead to two more arrests.

Sheriff Jim Johnson says Elliot Gaston, 43, and Darrand Anthony, 38, are the latest to be charged in the investigation.

Gaston is charged with two counts of sale of heroin within 1,500 feet of a church or school.  

He is in the Lee County jail on a one-million dollar bond.

Anthony is charged with two counts of possession of heroin with intent to distribute.

He is also being held on a one-million dollar bond.
