OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) — The University of Mississippi is letting people know about an emergency drill that will be held on campus Wednesday morning.

The drill will include loud explosions, smoke and sirens, and the university does not want people to be alarmed by those things.

It is expected to start at 9 a.m. and is scheduled to end at noon.

The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, Ole Miss, Oxford and Lafayette County will be participating.

Volunteers are being sought for the drill.  Anyone interested can email oxfordema@oxfordms.net for more information.
