TUPELO, Miss (WTVA) -- Congressman Alan Nunnelee's office said the Republican representative will continue to recover from brain surgery at John Hopkins Outpatient Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
According to a press release on Saturday, Nunnelee was moved from the John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
As an outpatient, Nunnelee will continue radiation and chemotherapy and speech and mobility rehabilitation for several weeks.
"Alan has made significant profess in rehabilitation over the last several week because of his positive attitude, strong work ethic and determination to get back to work," Dr. Dorianne Feldman said in the press release.
Nunnelee said, "Almost two months after surgery, I'm happy to begin this next phase of recovery. I'm thankful to have your encouragement and understanding as I get well.
He was hospitalized in May, after he complained of nausea and fatigue. That’s when doctors discovered a mass on the right side of his brain.
The 55 year old had surgery in June at M D Anderson Cancer Center in Texas.
