LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) -- New evidence is under examination in the homicide investigation of 37-year-old Dale Parker.

Sheriff Jim Johnson said Parker died of multiple gunshot wounds at a home on CR 1543 last week in Eggville.

On Tuesday morning, deputies delivered various evidence bags to the crime lab in Batesville.

The items will be looked at and the findings will be compared to autopsy results, said Johnson.

Final results may be available in days or weeks, depending on various factors.

Information gathered from the evidence will be stored in a database to compare with any future leads.

Johnson told WTVA.com several people have been interviewed in the case but no arrests have been made.

Call the Lee County Sheriff's Office with any information.
