TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The city of Tupelo now has more ambassadors helping to promote the All-America City.
A tourism leadership program held a graduation ceremony for the class of 2013 at the Bancorp South Conference Center.
Tupelo's mayor and state tourism director were on hand to welcome members of the graduating class.
The new graduates say they learned a lot about what Tupelo has to offer to visitors and residents.
"We go out in the community and beyond to tell the Tupelo story. [We get] to market our community as a place where people want to come and live and also come and visit," said Shari Neely, director of sales for the Hilton Garden Inn.
"There are so many things to do and so many attractions and the opportunity that we have to go visit each attraction, and to really tell people what Tupelo is all about. I feel like I will definitely be an asset to Tupelo," stated Bev Crossen, marketing director for Farmhouse.
This years class featured 13 graduates who are now ready to help make the All-America City the number one tourism destination in the state.
