TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) — Tupelo now has another landmark honoring its most famous native son.
A bronze statue of Elvis Presley was unveiled Thursday evening in the park next to City Hall.
The creation of sculptor Bill Beckwith faces in the direction of the Elvis Presley Birthplace.
It shows Presley singing as he's leaning forward holding a microphone on a stand.
The Elvis Presley Fan Club sold bricks to pay for the statue.
