TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Tupelo Police Department will be passing out applications for the positions of police officer or civilian employee December 7 and 8.
The process will begin each day at the North Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Center at 1 Finney Lane, with the gates closing at 8:00a.m. each day.
To apply, you will need a valid driver's license.
Instructors will conduct a Physical Efficiency Battery test for police officer. A waiver of liability will be required before you can take the P.E.B. test.
There will be a written test for police officer and civilian applicants.
Here is a list of requirements for a Tupelo Police Officer:
You must be 21 years of age, have no prior felony record and must have two years college degree (accredited) or two years Military Service in LE or Certified PO w/ another agency for one year.
Here is a list of requirements for Civilian Position:
You must not have a prior felony record and you must have two years college degree (accredited) or two years experience in keyboard, data entry, typing, filing, and communication skills.
