WINFIELD, Ala. (WTVA) -- The state of Alabama is providing a grant to help with the development of a business complex on Interstate 22 in Winfield.

Governor Robert Bentley announced $200,000 was available for the project through the state's Community Development Block Grant program.

The development includes a medical clinic, restaurant, and party rental store.

The city will provide $61,900 for the project.

Bentley says the businesses will bring 33 new jobs to Marion County.

The governor says the development of the Interstate 22 will be key to helping the economy grow in north Alabama.
