TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- A man wanted by state and local officials after he walked away from a restitution center is back in custody.

Sheriff Jim Johnson tells Landerious Montgomery, 22, turned himself in at the Lee County jail on Monday.

Montgomery had walked away from the Greenwood Restitution Center on November 2.

Johnson says Montgomery is being held until he is turned over the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
