OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- An Illinois man has pleaded guilty to have a man purchase guns for him.

Efram Smith, 36, entered the guilty in U. S. District Court in Aberdeen Wednesday.

Smith was accused of talking another person into by three firearms at a West Point business.

The court document says Smith talked the person into buying the weapons for him because Smith was a convicted felon.

The indictment says Smith took the weapons and returned to Illinois.
