ABERDEEN, Miss. (WTVA) -- An Alabama man has been indicted in the robberies of four north Mississippi banks.

Brian Perry Jones, 35, of Toney heard the charges against him during an initial appearance in U. S. District Court on Tuesday.

Jones is charged with the robberies in Booneville, Iuka, and Tupelo.

The indictment says Jones held up the Renasant Bank on Constitution Drive in Iuka on August 16, 2012, the Renasant Bank on Veterans Boulevard in Tupelo on September 21, 2012, the Renasant Bank on West Market Street in Booneville on November 16, 2012, and the Renasant Bank on North Gloster Street in Tupelo on November 19, 2012.

Jones was captured by Tishomingo County authorities while driving back to Alabama following the last robbery.

He is currently in the custody of U. S. Marshals until an arraignment and detention hearing are held on Friday.
