BELMONT, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Belmont man is hospitalized after walking into the path of a car late Thursday night.
It happened on Highway 25 in Belmont just after 9:00 p.m.
Authorities say James Templeton, 58, was crossing the street near the Piggly Wiggly when the car struck him.
Officials say the man was airlifted to a Tupelo hopsital.
Authorities say Templeton is listed in stable condition Friday morning.
The incident has been ruled an accident.
