NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) -- A man arrested in Union County for failure to register as a sex offender now faces federal charges.
A spokesperson with the U. S. Marshals Office in Oxford says Tommie Thomas, Jr., 51, is currently being held in the Lafayette County jail.
Thomas was arrested at a home in the Cornersville community by deputies with the Union County Sheriff's department.
Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards say Thomas is a convicted sex offender in Michigan.
