PONTOTOC, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Pontotoc County man died in a one vehicle accident Sunday afternoon.
Sheriff Leo Mask says George J. Wheeler, 59, of Chesterville Road died from injuries suffered in the accident.
He says Wheeler was driving a PT Cruiser on Belden-Endville Road when it ran off the roadway around 1:30 p.m.
Mask says it appears the vehicle overturned when Wheeler attempted to get the car back on the road.
The accident remains under investigation.
