COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Lowndes County man faces burglary charges after he attempted to sell items at a local scrap yard.

Investigators say Joshua Wayne Haynes, 20, of Wiley Road in Columbus was arrested Wednesday at B and S Salvage.

Authorities say Haynes had gone to a family member's property he had been asked to stay away from and took items he intended to sell for scrap.

He is formally charged with burglary of a dwelling.

Bond has been set at $10,000.
