SALTILLO, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Mooreville man is in the Lee County Adult Detention Center following a chase with a sheriff deputy Tuesday night.
Sheriff Jim Johnson says Russell Reich, 25, is charged with felony evading a law officer.
The chase started around 9:30 Tuesday night when the deputy attempted to a vehicle driving recklessly on Possum Trot Road.
Then the deputy hit the blue lights, the driver attempted to speed away.
The chase ended at the intersection of Highway 363 and County Road 1970 when the vehicle wrecked.
Reich was arrested at the scene.
A passenger jumped from the vehicle and ran into a wooded area.
Johnson says they have not yet located that person.
The Mississippi Department of Corrections placed a hold on Reich for a probation violation.
