TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- A man arrested during a deadly police shooting in Verona on Wednesday, September 4, is now behind bars, facing charges.
According to investigators, the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Verona Police and agents with the North Mississippi Narcotics Office arrested Christopher Lashawn Montgomery, 33, of Aberdeen.
Montgomery is charged with felony possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute.
Authorities say officers seized more than 23 grans of crack cocaine following a traffic stop, that ended with police shooting and killing of Henry Montgomery, 31, of Aberdeen.
It happened on Mattox Road in Verona.
Two officers involved in the shooting are now on administrative leave.
No other information is being released at this time.
