Man arrested for malicious mischief in Tupelo

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- Tupelo police arrested a man for various malicious mischief acts in the city.

Michael Hangar, 18, was booked at the Tupelo Police Department after residents reported vehicles had been vandalized with spray paint. A 17-year-old juvenile was also arrest for the crime.

Authorities said racial slurs were painted on some of the vehicles.

Nearly 20 vehicles have been reported damaged.

An eyewitness was able to provide officers with the suspects’ vehicle information.

Lee County Justice Court Judge Sadie Holland set Hanger’s bond at $10,000.
