STARKVILLE, Miss (WTVA) -- Mississippi State University has signed a three-year agreement to host American Legion Boys State.
The program brings high school senior boys together to teach them about government.
One university official said having the program at MSU provides multiple benefits.
"(It will) not only facilitate a very positive leadership-in-government learning experience for them in the Boys State program but also help them learn about Mississippi State and the opportunities for further leadership development that are available there," said Sid Salter, the director for university relations.
Boys State will begin on campus this year.
