JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) — The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency said at least 80 people were hurt during Sunday's severe storms.
Out of the injured, 63 were treated for minor injuries in Forrest County where a tornado ripped through Hattiesburg.
Also in Forrest County, 133 homes were destroyed, and 207 homes had major damage.
Statewide, at least 570 homes were damaged.
Damage also was reported in Humphreys, Lamar, Lawrence, Marion, Perry, Warren, Wayne and Yazoo counties.
