JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) — The Mississippi Department of Transportation says it wants to clarify a recent report concerning the designation given to a local bridge.
That bridge is the truss bridge on Highway 7 in Lafayette County crossing the Tallahatchie River.
It was reported that the bridge is "structurally deficient" and will be replaced next year.
MDOT says it wants to assure the public the bridge is still safe to use.
