Lee County voters overwhelmingly pass bond issue

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - Voters in Lee County overwhelmingly passed a more than $13M bond issue for schools.

The issue was passed on Tuesday by a more than 85.6 percent.

The unofficial final was 1,773 in favor and 298 against the bond issue.

School leaders say they will use the money to improve or build additions at Saltillo, Guntown, Shannon, Verona, Plantersville and Mooreville.
