LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Palmetto man has died after his vehicle left the road Saturday, according to authorities.
Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green said the unidentified 50-year-old man was found lying in the middle of Graham Drive when she arrived. The incident occurred in the Palmetto community.
Green said she got the call at 5:53 p.m.
The coroner said the sheriff's department is working the case like a vehicle/pedestrian accident, but they're not sure exactly what happened.
A vehicle found at the scene did not appear to have significant damage to it, but it could be a piece of the puzzle, Green said.
Autopsy results due Monday could provide more details to law enforcement.
The name has not been released by the coroner because some of the victim's family still has to be notified.
