TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) — The Lee County School District has announced the winner of the Teacher of the Year award.
Tracy Lyle teaches language and arts to 7th graders at Mooreville Middle School.
It was during Tuesday's meeting of the Lee County School Board that she learned of the honor.
"All the applicants were very well qualified," said Lyle. "Some of them I even taught."
Every school in the district had someone in the running for the top teacher award.
