VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) -- The former chief of staff to Vicksburg Mayor Paul Winfield is demanding $1.5 million in her sexual harassment lawsuit.

Kenya Burks is seeking damages including back wages, five years' of her former salary, and compensatory damages of $1 million, the Vicksburg Post reports.

Legal papers also contain a list of more than 30 people whom Burks' lawyers say could testify to various aspects of a two-year sexual affair that she claims to have had with Winfield.

Burks claims she faced a hostile work environment and retaliation because of her relationship with Winfield. Winfield has denied claims of sexual relations.

Burks' lawyers also say Winfield's side is trying to delay efforts to obtain the mayor's cell phone and text records.
