TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- At Todd's Big Star, the grocery store was busy as ever on the night before Thanksgiving.
Shoppers were loading up on those last minute items that they may have forgotten or just realized they needed.
"I have some family coming in that I wasn't expecting, so I have to make sure everything is taken care of," said Jeannie Senter.
That seemed to be the case with a lot of shoppers.
Store manager Clay Knight said the items going out were the usual Thanksgiving-type foods.
'A lot of cranberry, chicken broth, a lot of turkeys, smoked turkeys, dressing, nutmeg, sage, drinks," said Knight.
One customer came for some last minute items and couldn't wait to make her special recipe for the holiday.
"I'm getting some greens. I love just fixing some greens, and what I'm doing is getting some turnips, and then I would like to also get some mustards and mix them all together," said Patricia Ross.
Knight said there will also be a rush of shoppers at the store on Thanksgiving morning.
