TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- A federal court judge has approved a motion to push back the civil lawsuit filed by Terry Anderson over his termination from the Tupelo Regional Airport.
The judge signed an order Wednesday moving the trial from April 8 to June 3.
Anderson was fired as executive director in 2009.
In his lawsuit, Anderson claims the firing volated his rights to free speech, and his replacement was much younger and had less experience.
He is asking for monetary damages.
In December, the airport board asked a federal judge to dismiss the lawsuit claiming they terminated Anderson lied to them on three occassions over the runway project, the operations of the TRA phone system, and over whether he hired an attorney before his termination.
The judge has yet to rule on the motion.
