OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) --  A federal judge has granted a request to allow an Amory man to withdraw his guilty plea to a federal indictment of using the internet to meet a minor for sexual purposes.

Brian Christopher Pickle, 30, entered the guilty plea in U. S. District Court in Oxford on July 8.

According to a federal indictment, Pickle was arrested by Tupelo police in April after he arrangement to meet a 15-year-old.

Pickle was actually talking with an undercover officer.

In August, Pickle filed a motion claiming he is innocent of the charge and was led to commit the act through the act of law enforcement by entrapment.

He also states he is a decorated military veteran who served in Iraq and has been diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder.

Pickle claims PTSD combined with a divorce from his wife led to a dependency on prescription medication.

The order also approved his motion to bring in a new attorney to handle his case.
