ABERDEEN, Miss. (WTVA) -- Monroe County authorities say the on-going investigation into illegal drug sales in the county lead to the arrest of an Amory woman.
Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says Mary K. Prescott, 34, was arrested over the weekend when agents served a search warrant at a home on Highway 278 in Amory.
Authorities say she was selling the prescription drug suboxone, a drug used to treat people with pain or with addictions to morphine, codeine, and heroin.
Prescott was charged with sale of a controlled substance.
Cantrell says this particular investigation has been underway for several months and more arrests are expected.
