Interim director gets state narcotics job

JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) — The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics has a new leader.

Sam Owens has been named the agency's new director.

Mississippi Public Safety Commissioner Albert Santa Cruz made the appointment.

Owens started working for the agency in 1978 as an agent.  He has served as MBN's interim director since February.
