FULTON, Miss. (WTVA) — Itawamba Community College President David Cole will retire at the end of June.
A news release from the college said the retirement was accepted at Thursday night's meeting of the ICC Board of Trustees.
Cole started as president in 1993. He left the job in 2000 to serve as Governor Ronnie Musgrove's chief of staff but returned as ICC's president in 2001.
The board also named Mike Eaton as the college's new president. He will start his new job July 1.
Eaton is probably best known for his nearly two decades as ICC's head football coach.
He's currently assistant to the president and has served in multiple administrative positions.
