TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Students enrolled at Itawamaba Community College got to experience "Connection Day" which is held on the campus of ICC in Tupelo.

ICC Connection Day is a one stop shop for traditional and non-traditional students.

With schools going to a block schedule, ICC is seeing a huge increase in December graduates so Connection Day is an opportunity for them to visit the campus.

The event really enhances the experience for non-traditional students with orientation skills as everything is designed to put them at ease.

"This is kind of an opportunity for them to come to ICC kind of get a look at everything," adds Allyson Cummings, counselor in Student Affairs at ICC. "[They get to] meet with the counselor, get their schedules also get with financial aid kind of choose what major and different majors are available to them."

The ICC Connection Day is held three times a year starting in the summer, then at the beginning of the fall semester, followed by the beginning of the spring semester.
