FULTON, Miss. (WTVA) -- Itawamba County authorities have arrested two people who burglarized a storage unit, then tried to run over the person renting the unit when he approached them.

Investigators say Tammy Lee Carter Tubb, 39, of Smithville and Joseph Lee Tubb, 35, of Mooreville were arrested and charged in the Saturday incident.

Authorities say the owners of the rental storage unit saw a truck loaded with stuff from the unit at Peppertown Storage Saturday night and approached the Tubbs.

Investigators say the couple jumped in the truck and Joseph Tubb attempted to run over one of the people when he left the property.

Joseph Lee Tubb was arrested six hours later during a traffic stop.

A search of a home in the Peppertown area turned up some of the items taken in the burglary.

The remaining items were found at a storage unit in Fulton.

Joseph Lee Tubb is being held on a $25,000 bond on charges of burglary of a commercial building and aggravated assault.

Tammy Lee Carter Tubb is charged with burglary of a commercial building and her bond is set at $10,000.

She also has a hold for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Authorities say the investigation is continuing and more arrests are expected.
