KOSCIUSKO, Miss. (WTVA/Kosyonline.com) -- A family is homeless following a house fire in Attala County Tuesday morning.
WTVA News Partner Kosyonline.com reports firefighters were called to the fire on County Road 1107 south of Kosciusko around 10 a.m.
County Fire Chief Roy Williams arrived on scene to find the home totally engulfed in flames.
Firefighters battled the flames even with live power lines sparking around the structure.
A woman who lived at the home said she left the home and walked next door to visit a neighbor.
When she returned the home was fully involved.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but officials believe it may have started in a bedroom.
