TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The North Mississippi Medical Center is expanding parking at the Tupelo hospital.
Officials say work is underway to expand the parking area near the intersection of Garfield Street and Council Circle.
The project started last month, and involves making changes to islands, curbs, and drains.
When completed, the work will create an additional 54 parking spaces.
Hospital officials say weather permitting, the work will be completed by February.
