HAMILTON, Miss. (WTVA) -- The goal is to leave no child behind.

That's the reason a new playground is now in place at Hamilton Elementary School.

Members of the Parents Teachers Organization have worked to raise money over the course of a year to offer all children access to playground equipment.

The equipment can be used regardless of a child's special needs.

They can play alongside children without physical challenges.

"I'm very excited. We're almost through with it. We have almost finished the project. It took us over a year. We've raised over $50,000 to get this project completed. We're very excited that it will be finished today," PTO President Chris Markham said.

Two more phases for the playground are planned.
