VERONA, Miss. (WTVA) -- Over 430 dogs plus their handlers and owners are in Verona this weekend for the Gum Tree Classic dog show.
Dog owners and professional handlers are showing off their prized possesions at the Lee County Agri-Center.
The majority of the dogs that campaign are already champions working toward points to compete at upcoming shows in Florida.
Many of the dogs recently competed at the Westminister Dog Show.
The Gum Tree Classic features over 50 breeds at the show.
"We also have obedience trials going on and rally obedience trials going on," adds Tere Woody, show chairman. "The dogs that have already finished some of their championship titles [are] now working for titles on the other end."
The judges look at the dogs and compare them to the American Kennel Club breed standards.
The two-day show concludes Sunday.
