JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) -- Prentiss County is getting financial assistance to help with the cleanup of illegal dump sites.
The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality Monday awarded the county a solid waste assistance grant.
The awared, totaling $14,606, will pay for the cost to clean up the sites.
MDEQ awards the grants of part of the efforts to see that solid waste is disposed of properly in the Magnolia State.
