TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA)--Having good behavior can go a very long for Tupelo Middle School students.
Wednesday, students were rewarded for their good behavior and grades since the beginning of the school year.
As part of the celebration, the students enjoyed some snacks, games and contests; including throwing pies at their teachers.
Faculty even dressed up in costumes to help the kids celebrate.
"What you have here is called exceeding expectations. It's a celebration for students who have exceeded their expections for behavior all first nine-weeks. So, students who have not required a discipline referal, they get to be invited to this celebration," said character Gladys Gladstone.
The event took place inside the Woodfloor Gym.
