JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -- Wherever Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney goes, a 26-year-old from Brookhaven is with him.
Garrett Jackson may be steadying a chair for Romney to speak from or following him with markers ready for autographs.
As Romney's personal aide -- or "body man'' -- Jackson has met former president Bill Clinton and prayed with Billy Graham. He's gone overseas with Romney. Jackson tells The Clarion-Ledger there are so many incredible moments he has to keep a journal just to write them down.
Jackson met a Romney employee while working in Jackson Hole, Wyo. The man offered him an internship. Then he was offered a full-time job that included traveling with the governor. He says he became Romney's personal aide at the start of a book tour.
