WEST POINT, Miss. (WTVA) -- Four people have been charged with robbing two men on a West Point street Monday night.
Police Chief Tim Brinkley says Jeremy Brown, 20, of Columbus and three juveniles are accused of approaching the two men and robbing them at gunpoint around 8:30 p.m.
He says the victims gave police a desciption of one the suspects and the vehicle they left the scene in.
Brinkley says victims told officers all four men had weapons when they approached.
He says an alert officer spotted the vehicle and they were able to make a traffic stop and the arrests within 10 minutes of receiving the initial 911 call.
Brinkley says officers recovered four handguns, ammunition, a cell phone, and a small amount of narcotics from the vehicle.
He says Brown and the three juveniles, who are all from West Point, are charged with armed robbery and are being held on a $100,000 bond.
Brinkley says the juveniles have been charged as adults, but authorities are not releasing their names at this time.
